JOLIETTE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 6, 2013) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that Liard Industries Inc. has been awarded financial assistance to acquire specialized equipment.
"The Government of Canada believes the way to economic prosperity is through investments like this one that Liard Industries is about to make to increase its production capacity and improve its competitiveness," said Minister Lebel.
Liard Industries Inc. offers custom machining and welding services. The company also specializes in the development and manufacture of equipment for precast concrete products such as catch basins, manholes and pipes.
To better meet its customers' needs and requirements, the company has undertaken to boost its production capacity and improve its productivity and competitiveness.
The financial assistance from Canada Economic Development will enable Liard Industries Inc. to set up a new CNC machining centre.
