Yo! China, a Chinese restaurant chain owned by Moods Hospitality, plans to open ten new cafes in India over the next one year, as a part of the company's strategy to increase revenues.
The first Yo! China caf? is expected to open in next ten days and will occupy around 2,000ft? of space, with display kitchens, serving alcohol and specialty desserts.
Moods Hospitality managing director and CEO Ashish Kapur was quoted by the Economic Times as saying that the company expects the cafes to be a more profitable business model than its existing outlets.
"We are moving up the curve. This is our new focus area," Kapur said.
Yo! China Cafes are large-format concepts that will serve food at a 20% premium over the entry-level pricing at Moods Hospitality's existing outlets.
Kapur added that some of the company's few Yo! China restaurants could be converted into cafes.
The chin is also looking to debut first overseas Yo! China outlet this fiscal, as part of the company's plan to expand into the Middle East, South Africa, Nepal and Mauritius.
Moods Hospitality, currently, operates 50 Yo! China outlets and two fine dining Dim Sum Bros outlets in the country.
